Ingredients:
- A 1.5 kg strip of pork ribs
- Barbecue sauce (homemade or commercial)
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- Salt
Step by Step
The first thing is to preheat the oven to 180º C with heat up and down.
While you go, place the ribs on the tray with the bone facing up. When the oven is hot, put the tray in for about 40 minutes, this is done to seal the meat a bit and not dehydrate.
In a bowl you put the sauce and honey. You stir until everything is well integrated.
Final preparation
After 40 minutes, add the salt and brush the strip of ribs with the sauce that you have prepared with the honey on both sides and bake them for 30 minutes. After half an hour, you take them out again and paint only the meat side and grill for 15 more minutes.
Finally and to give it that touch so characteristic of the Foster, you spread a last layer of sauce and bake it for 15 minutes at 200º C. With this final touch they will be soft on the inside and golden brown on the outside. If they have run out of juices, you have to put water in the tray so they do not burn.
My tips and tricks
- If you prefer, you can cook the ribs before grilling but then you don’t have to do the first 40 minute bake.
- You can put aluminum foil in the bottom of the tray so that it does not stain and thus have to clean much less.
- I like to serve them with a little sauce without honey for those who want to get a little more.
- And if you accompany them with potato chips , with French fries or with a great salad , you will be in a movie at any meeting.
