This chicken in cheese sauce is a very easy and quick recipe to prepare since in less than 30 minutes you have a very complete dish that will make you look luxurious, I assure you. Also you will not put the kitchen potatoes on top since you only need a bowl and a casserole or frying pan. Don’t tell me you don’t like the idea.
This is the typical recurring meal that you can eat on a daily basis. The little ones and, of course, the not so little ones are going to love it because who doesn’t like a juicy chicken covered in a rich cheese sauce? Who does not like to raise your hand.
Well, outside of joke, at my house they eat a lot since it is one of their favorite dishes and I am delighted because it is a fairly inexpensive dish. So what more could you ask for?
Chicken and cheese are very good companions since the mixture of these flavors is a safe bet and if you accompany it with a good salad, with white rice or with fries without oil, you will have a great dinner ready in no time.

2 chicken breasts
300 ml of cream or cream for cooking
150 gr of powdered cheese
3 garlic cloves
Extra virgin olive oil

Chicken in cheese sauce. Quick and easy recipe: step by step
1.- The first thing is to put the breasts cut into pieces the size of a bite, more or less than 2 cm thick, in a bowl, add a little salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg although you can add other spices if you prefer it. Stir and marinate for a few minutes.
2.- While you are chopping the onion and garlic.
3.- Now you put a casserole on the fire with a splash of oil and seal the breasts so that they do not lose their juices and do not dry out. As soon as they have lost their rosy color, you take them out of the casserole and the reserves.
4.- In the same casserole , add a little oil, the onion and the garlic. You add a little salt to make the onion sweat and lose its water, and you also add a little freshly ground pepper. Stir and fry over low heat for a few minutes until the onion turns transparent and is soft.
5.- When you see that it is done, add the cream, the cheeses in pieces and mixes.
6.- You add the powdered cheese, Although if you prefer, you can change it for grated cheese or grate your own cheese that you have at home, yes, it has to be flavored because if you put a soft one you take away all the grace to the sauce, which is what it will give chicken flavor. You mix it well and cook for a few minutes over low heat.
7.- When the sauce reaches a texture similar to béchamel, add the chicken and mix again. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes to finish making the chicken. You have to stir from time to time so that it does not stick.
8.- Finally, you turn off the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. And you have the chicken ready to give you a good tribute.
More tips and tricks
If you want the lighter sauce, you can change the cream for evaporated milk.
I have preferred whole breasts but you can change them for fillets, thighs, drumsticks, wings …
You can also cut the chicken into strips instead of dices.
The longer you let the chicken rest, the more flavor it will have.
