300 gr of long grain rice
250 gr of prawns
100 gr of frozen peas
1 large carrot
3 slices of cooked ham
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
Extra virgin olive oil
Step by step recipe
Wash the white rice under the cold water tap until the white water comes out so that it loses all the starch and put it in a saucepan with a splash of oil to sauté it. Add the same amount of water as rice to the pot, season it and cook it for 15 minutes. After this time you remove it and let it rest.
While the rice cooks, put a saucepan with water to heat and when it boils add the peeled and whole carrot with the peas. Add a pinch of salt and cook for 10 minutes. When they are soft, you remove them from the heat, let it warm, drain it well and cut the carrot into small cubes. Reservation.
And now we are going to make the omelette. Put a teaspoon of oil in a medium skillet. Beat the eggs with a little salt and sugar and when the oil is hot, pour the egg covering the entire bottom of the pan as if you were making a crepe. When it is curdled, you remove it from the heat, cut it into strips and reserve it. You also have to cut the slices of cooked ham and the reserves.
Put a large frying pan on the fire with 5 tablespoons of oil, add the prawns and sauté them for about 3 minutes until they have a good color. When they are done add the well drained rice and the soy sauce. Stir well and sauté for about 2 minutes.
And finally you add the rest of the ingredients, add salt to it and brown it a bit.
