Many people ask me how to make perfect and easy White Rice, oddly enough, as it is one of the most popular recipes in the world. But do not be surprised because there are people who have a hard time leaving the rice just right.
One of the results that is most difficult to achieve in the kitchen is that the rice remains loose without being overdone. How many times have you wondered how others get it and you don’t. Don’t worry, the same thing happens with the rice as with the potato omelette, until you manage to give it that little point that you like it takes a little work.

Ingredients:
- 300 gr long rice
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
How to make rice well.
Wash the rice well under the cold water tap until the starch is gone and the water runs white. Put a saucepan on the sink to check that the water comes out clean.
Put the rice in a pot on the fire and add a splash of oil to sauté it a little.
Now you add the same amount of water as rice and season it to taste. Cover the casserole and cook it for 10 minutes. When it’s done, remove it from the heat and let it rest covered for another 10 minutes.
My tips and tricks
- Never take a casserole that has a tendency to stick.
- When it starts to boil, lower the heat and turn it soft so that the water doesn’t evaporate and stick.
- Another trick is to wash the rice after cooking, although I prefer to do it before. You can also put a bay leaf to help loosen the grains of rice in addition to giving it a rich aroma.
- Sauté the rice before cooking to make it looser.
And voila, you already have your perfect white rice to accompany any dish.
