Ingredients:
- 1 chicken, chopped
- 1 bottle of beer
- 6 cloves of garlic
- Parsley
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Garlic chicken with beer: step by step
- I advise you to buy a large chicken and tell the pollero to chop it for you to make it with garlic.
- The first thing is to wash the chicken and dry it with kitchen paper. Then you add salt and pepper and add a little parsley, rosemary and thyme. If you like other spices you can also include them.
- Smash the garlic with a wide knife or by hand, but be careful not to break them.
- Fry them without peeling them in a large saucepan with plenty of hot oil. Brown them for a few minutes on all sides and when they are done you take them out and reserve them.
- Fry the chicken in the same oil that you used for the garlic so that it takes on its flavor. Fry it over medium heat so that it is crispy on the outside and well done on the inside. This step is essential to make a good garlic chicken, so be careful not to burn it.
- When the chicken is completely fried , remove the excess oil.
- Put all the chicken in the casserole , add the garlic you have reserved and then pour the beer.
- Simmer it for 30 to 35 minutes to allow the flavors to blend well and the alcohol in the beer to evaporate.
