Today I am going to show you how to make dulce de leche easy, fast and delicious. Who has not ever wanted to try a teaspoon of this cream so smooth and exquisite. It only has one ingredient, which is condensed milk and depending on the texture you want, it will need several cooking times.
Dulce de leche is one of the most popular desserts in Latin America, although it has spread throughout the world and it is not surprising because it is delicious.
It is often used to fill cakes, make puddings, crepes, etc. I usually pour a few teaspoons in my coffee and so I have a sweet milk chocolate coffee, I recommend that you do it because you cannot imagine how it is until you try it.

How to make dulce de leche: step by step
1.- The first thing is to remove the paper that wraps the can, if you have it. This step is very important because if you don’t remove it it can clog the valve where the steam comes out. The bottle that I have used is xerographed and does not carry.
2.- Now you place the pot upright inside a fast pot and cover it completely with water about 2 cm more or less. Close the pot and bring it to a boil, as soon as the steam starts to come out, cook for 40 minutes over medium-low heat.
3.- After 40 minutes, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. You can put it under the cold water tap to make it faster, it has to be completely cold.
4.- When the pot is completely cold, you take it out of the water, dry it with a kitchen towel and uncover it.
5.- You can leave it as is, although I like it more smoothly since the consistency is smoother and more homogeneous. So you take it out of the can, put it in a bowl and stir it with some rods.
6.- Finally, you put it in a glass jar and for the refrigerator.
My tips and tricks on how to make dulce de leche
- You can keep it in the fridge for two weeks, although I don’t think it will last that long. If you put it in sterilized airtight jars it will last longer.
- You can serve it hot or cold.
- If you want it more liquid, you only have to cook for half an hour.
- Never open the can while it is hot.
