Today’s recipe is great meatballs in carrot sauce, this dish is one of those that until you stop with the loaf of bread you don’t leave it with those soft and juicy meatballs and that Hot and tasty carrot sauce , uuummm, my mouth is watering as I’m typing. The truth is that they are a real sin.
These meatballs in sauce remind me a lot of the ones my mother and grandmother made. They both loved to prepare them and they cooked them in many ways: with tomato sauce, Spanish sauce, with almonds, potatoes … And since they came out, my goodness, we became like Uncle Kiko.
This recipe for homemade meatballs is a very powerful meal to combat the cold and to make sure that children eat vegetables without knowing it and without complaining. Plus, they are so cute that they almost melt in your mouth.

Recipe to make the meatloaf:
Ingredients for the meatballs:
- 500 gr of minced meat
- 1/2 glass of milk
- 1 egg
- 50 gr of bread crumbs
- Flour
- Oil for frying
- Salt
- Pepper
Ingredients for the sauce:
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 1/2 leek
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 2 garlic
- 1 glass of white wine
- Oil for frying
- Salt
Soak the breadcrumbs with the milk.
Chop the garlic and parsley into very small pieces and put them in a bowl. Add the minced meat, the drained crumb and a little salt. Mix until all the ingredients are well integrated.
Now you take small portions of dough and give it the rounded shape so characteristic of meatballs. Put the flour on a plate and wrap them in it.
Fry them in a pan with plenty of hot oil. When they are golden brown, you take them out and reserve them on a plate with absorbent paper.
Finely chop the onion, carrot, leek and garlic. Sauté in a frying pan with a little oil until they take color. Season, add the flour and mix well. Pour in the wine, a little water and cook for 25 minutes over low heat.
When the vegetables are done, you put them in the blender, place the meatballs and the sauce in a saucepan and let everything cook for about 10 minutes over low heat.
