Today I am going to surprise you with a great luxury, an easy and fast cheese fondue. This is one of those recipes that is truly original, since the container in which it is prepared is a loaf of bread. How about? to me very curious and interesting at the same time.
So you no longer need to buy the original pot to enjoy a super imaginative cheese fondue ; it is ideal for dinners with friends or family reunions. Surely if they see you appear with this whim you will leave them with their mouths open.
And for cheese lovers this recipe is perfect since it has no waste and never better said because you can eat up to the container.
Go ahead and prepare it for sure that you will look great on any occasion that you have a visit and want to dazzle your guests.
Quick and easy cheese fondue: video recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of bread
- 3 types of cheese for fondue (Gouda, Cheddar, Gruyere, Emmental …)
- 3 slices of bacon
- 3 slices of chicken pelluga
- 1/4 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Parsley
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
Cheese fondue
Cut a hole in one end of the bar, keeping in mind that you have to make two more and that they are more or less the same distance.
Once the first emptying is done, use its lid as a pattern that will help you measure the next two and they will come out the same. Make small marks, with a pointed knife, on the sides of the crust to serve as a guide.
Now you can cut at the marks being careful not to pierce the bottom crust and remove the crumb well. When you have removed the three lids with their crumbs, you have to remove all that is left in the eggs so that they are squared and the filling enters well.
The crusts that you have separated from the bar you are going to use to dip them in the fondue so you have to cut them with a serrated knife (so they do not split) into elongated pieces and remove the excess crumb.
Put a frying pan on the fire, sauté the breast into pieces a little and when it is fried, remove it and reserve it.
In the same pan, brown the bacon partidito and also reserves. And finally, sauté the chopped onion and reserve it.
Line the bottom of the baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bread on top. The first layer that you put at the base of the first hole always has to be folded sheets of cheese, so that it soaks well, now one of onion and you repeat layers until you reach the end. The last one is always cheese.
Repeat the same action in the second hole which happens that now you put chicken breast and in the third the bacon.
Prepare a mash with the garlic and parsley. When it is crushed, you add the oil.
Pour the mashed bread over the pieces of bread with a spoon so that it costs you less work.
With the oven preheated to 200ºC you bake it for 20 minutes with heat up and down
My tips and tricks
- Use a sharp, serrated knife with a pointed end.
- The bread has to be of quality, wide and with a consistent crumb.
- The cheeses must have a lot of fat.
- When you remove the bread crumbs, be careful not to break the gaps between each hole so that the cheeses do not mix.
