Lemon Cake – the best recipe with Oven
To make this cake in addition to the ingredients that we present below you will need an oven.
Ingredients
- 280 millilitres of whipping cream
- 175 grams of pastry flour
- 125 milliliters of lemon juice
- 125 grams of cold butter from the fridge
- 80 grams of sugar (you can use more if you want a sweeter taste)
- 50 grams of wholemeal flour
- 20 grams of icing sugar (also known as powdered sugar or nevazucar)
- 3 good sized eggs
- 2 egg yolks on the side
- Salt
Recipe for making lemon tart
- Place in a bowl the two flours, the sugar, the salt and the cold butter cut into cubes. Blend everything together until smooth.
- Add the egg, beat well and put the previously prepared dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, paint the baking tin with butter and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Prick the bottom with a fork.
- Cover the mould with kitchen paper and place some bags with some kind of weight on top of it. Put in the oven and cook for 15 minutes.
- When you take it out of the oven, remove the weight and the baking paper and put the pan back in the oven for at least 10 more minutes.
- Squeeze the lemons and strain the juice extracted. The ideal is to get 125 milliliters of juice.
- Get ready and beat the large eggs, egg yolks and sugar and immediately add the cream. In this preparation pour the lemon juice, salt and mix well.
- Add the cream into the mold and break the bubbles. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes and let cool well before serving.
If you want to impress a little more, get creative and put a little custard or meringue on top of the cake with a few light touches of lemon zest. Don’t forget to leave it in the refrigerator so it’s as tasty as they expect.
