I don’t always have time to do my shopping, and I’m sure that’s the reality for almost everyone nowadays, (at least for millennials, sorry guys). And that’s why, when I go to the supermarket, I do it big or better go home. Yeah, I know that I can do it online, but I really like the supermarket shopping experience. I need to grab the stuff myself. For me, it’s not the same that clickitty click frenzy… It doesn’t feel the same to me (I’m like that old man yells at cloud meme from The Simpson).

And the lack of time is not only to go to the supermarket, but also to cook, and it is here that Costco ticks several boxes that solve a string of problems derived, precisely, from the lack of time.

Costco items with great value for money

A great snack has to be savory and nutritious, but you don’t always find those two things without getting a hard punch to your wallet. Here I collected six affordable and delicious snacks from Costco you should try right now, and they won’t drain your money, I promise!

Envy Apples: 64 ounces for $11.99

Over time, I have been learning that buying wholesale is better, not only because I get better prices per unit, which have a benefit to our family economy, but also fill our cupboard for a long time. That said, one of the snacks that we buy the most in large quantities are the Envy Apples. They have a unique crunch, intense aroma and umami flavor you’ll hardly find in other apple brands.

Sunsweet Whole Dried Plums: 56 ounces for $11.99

Another 100% natural snack that calms your hunger between meals is Kirkland’s sun-dried plums (God knows I love that brand, oh yes!). On their own, they are delicious, and don’t need to be accompanied by anything to enjoy them. If you feel adventurous, you can add them to sweet or salty dishes, and even to breakfast cereal. It provides dietary fiber and they are fat-free. A 5-unit serving only has 26 grams of natural fruit carbohydrates.

That’s It, Mini Fruit Bars: 24 bars for $16.99

These bars are perfect for any time you get hungry between meals, and the most amazing thing about them is that they are made with only two ingredients: either apple + blueberries, apple + mango or apple + strawberries. I’m not kidding! They are vegan, GMO-free and suitable for paleo and celiac diets. How’s all that possible?!

Jackson’s avocado oil and sea salt sweet potato chips: $6.59 for 16 ounces

These kettle-cooked fried sweet potatoes are delicious for any time. The natural sweetness of this tuber gives them a bold touch, and it has only natural ingredients: sweet potatoes, avocado oil and sea salt. No artificial ingredients. They are vegan, gluten-free, kosher and suitable for paleo diets.

So, you love guacamole, amigo? I know you do, because, who doesn’t? But if you don’t have that much time to prepare it, or you don’t want to take the risk to buy a bad avocado (man, it’s an extreme sport to finde the right avocados) just go to Costco and grab a 3-count Classic Organic Whooly Guacamole pack (and, of course, some nachos, you’ll need’em) and just celebrate the Cinco De Mayo anyday, any month.

Fresh mozzarella snacking cheese: $12.49 for 24 ounces

These delicious small cheese balls immediately transport you to Italy. Whether you make a pizza at home, or you want to have a fresh caprese salad for dinner, you will never regret throwing this snack into your shopping cart. Thanks a lot, friends at Bel Gioioso: I love your cheese, dudes!

If you want to try something different this fall, don’t miss out this Trader Joe’s season groceries. Pumpkin and cinnamon are autumn’s stars!

As a bonus, I’ve further added this amazingly good Peet’s Coffee Major Dickason’s Blend Whole Bean Coffee, which is $19.99 for 2 lbs. It may look a little pricey, but you are paying for one of the best coffees available in the chain (as reviewed by myself, a self-declared coffee nerd).
