Remove stains from the sofa with these home metod

Unlike bedding, a sofa cannot be easily washed in the washing machine, so you need to devise some ways to get all the accumulated dirt out. Stains are the hardest part to see on the family’s favorite sofa, so it doesn’t hurt to try anything to return it to its original state. One recommendation is to try some of these tricks in a hidden sofa area to ensure you don’t cause damage. In the market, you can find products that claim they can renovate your sofa, however, they have chemicals that are more harmful in the long run. Try these tricks and reclaim the family’s favorite space.

Salt and lemon

Mostly the sofa is the favorite place for children to enjoy a nice meal while watching a movie, so there are usually traces of all kinds, for example grease. Salt and lemon are efficient elements to eliminate this type of dirt. To do this, you must extract the juice of three lemons and, add a little salt, mix until it dissolves and forms a homogeneous liquid. Please apply to the area of the stain and let it act for one minute. Then remove the remains with a cloth soaked in water; just let it dry.

Soap with water

This is the simplest solution, mix water with a little white soap (the one you use to wash clothes), pour over the sofa with a damp sponge and clean, especially in the area where the stain you want to remove is located. We recommend circular movements from the outside to the inside of the color. Leave it for a few minutes, and remove the excess soap with water when the stain disappears.

Ammonia

Ammonia is a highly toxic product, an invasive disinfectant, so it is recommended to use it in extreme cases and in the following way. In a container with plenty of water, add a splash of ammonia. Before cleaning the sofa, you should remove dust with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Then, apply the prepared solution in zones with a sponge or a brush with soft and fine cells. Use a clean cloth dampened with warm water to remove the remains of the ammonia mixture. We recommend cleaning with the windows open so that it does not concentrate inside the room.

Baking soda and vinegar

Pour a liter of warm water, a glass of vinegar and a tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl. Stir until the baking soda dissolves. Use a clean cloth and moisten it with the liquid. When cleaning, make circular movements from the outside to the inside of the place where the stain is until it disappears. It is recommended not to pour vinegar directly on the sofa as these stains will not disappear, and the odor will be very difficult to remove.

Oxygenated water

Hydrogen peroxide is very effective for removing sweat stains from clothes, so it is also used for cleaning the sofa. However, it must be mixed with water to lower enthusiasm. Use a clean cloth or sponge on the stain and let the liquid act for a few minutes. When the stain disappears, finish rinsing with a cloth dampened with water.
