Who said that an original and practical furniture cannot be achieved with pallets? Well, show a button, here I bring you a coffee table with which you can create a most welcoming environment. A total pass!
The use of furniture made with pallets is a very interesting practice and with a large number of DIY and decoration followers, since for very little money you create personalized furniture to your liking.
In this video tutorial I show you step by step how easy it is to make your own table
Let’s get down to business. To start, you need very basic materials that you usually have for any DIY job you do. What are they:
Fine sandpaper and electric sander
Step 01 Cut the two pallets in half with the electric saw leaving the central structure as a support for the table
Step 02 Remove the boards from the second pallet with the crowbar, leaving an outer frame to put underneath. Take out the nails with the pliers
Step 03 Rethink the job to start nailing the woods in the place where they will go on the other pallet
Step 04 Nail the boards with the nails that you have taken from disassembling the pallet, so that they remain the same as the other one. A trick, so that the nails go in well, smear them with soap
Step 05 Put a thin wooden bit to the drill to make a guide and join the two pieces of your table with the adhesive and the screws (To make it easier for you to enter the screw, do the same as with the nails, smear them with soap)
Step 06 With the electric sander, go over all the parts of the table to make it as even as possible
Step 07 Use the trowel to apply the filler over the entire surface, so that the finish is perfect and you have a professional job (let it dry for about 24 hours)
Step 08 After 24 hours, you have to pass a fine sandpaper to clean all the imperfections that may remain
Step 09 Next, you give the exterior varnish for all the pieces. You let another 24 hours go by and you give it a second hand again so that your recycled coffee table will look great on you
Step 10 Mark with a pencil where you are going to place the wheel bolts and with the same wood bit you make the guides so that they fit well
Step 11 Screw the wheels by hand because if you do it with the drill you can crack the wood
