How to clean rust stains in the toilet?

First, you should know why these marks originate and that they do not come from rust. The truth is that they are not only found in the toilet bowl, but you can also see them under the faucets, the sink, and the bathtub.

This is because water contains minerals among them, iron, calcium, and magnesium. The accumulation of dirt, which together with the collection of land, adheres to the surface and form the brown, yellowish spots and all that visible stuff that bothers us so much and that common whiteners are unable to combat.

And yes, removing rust from the toilet is a real battle if you’ve let it go too long and don’t have the right tools and products. But with this procedure for cleaning the toilet, removing the scale and the terrible yellow line will be much easier than you have in mind.

1. Turn off the main water that fills the toilet and empty as much water as possible from the bowl. If you can’t get it all out, that’s okay; you’ll need some left over to clean it well.
2. Get a stiff bristle brush or a pumice stone, which are ideally abrasive to remove dirt and tartar without affecting the porcelain or ceramic.
3. Now, prepare a natural homemade cleaner to remove rust stains by mixing two cups of white cleaning vinegar with the same amount of baking soda and the juice of two lemons. You will obtain a thick paste by integrating these three products. The acid of the vinegar and lemon, together with the grease-removing quality of the baking soda, is extremely effective in removing the most stubborn grime.
4. Spread it with a brush or sponge inside the toilet and let it act for 20 to 25 minutes.
