At my house every summer we made crafts to entertain ourselves on these vacation days. My father would take us to the Cuesta de Moyano and buy us craft books, then he would help us with them and play games that he shared with his brothers as a child.
From here I got some ideas for these games , I hope you like them:
Used materials:
- 10 ½ liter bottles of water.
- Nail polish or indelible marker.
- Sand.
- Insulating tape.
- Pair of scissors.
Bowling game with empty bottles
Take 10 bottles of water, then fill them halfway with sand and close them with the cap, now you can paint the numbers with nail polish or with an indelible marker, you can also make some stripes around them with electrical tape. Then you just have to look for a tennis ball or similar to have your bowling game .

Make your child a swordsman out of newspaper sheets
Used materials:
- Newspaper or advertisement sheets.
- Cellophane.
- Glue stick.
Take 4 sheets of newspaper and start rolling from the corner of one of the sheets, then when you have it rolled up, stick the next sheet at the end, keep rolling. With the third sheet you do the same process and paste the end. With the fourth blade you roll it up the same as the first and give the shape of the hilt to the sword, fixing it with cellophane.

Jumping frog game with ludo tiles
Used materials:
- Ludo chips.
- Cup of coffee.
- Chupachup sticks, skewer sticks.
- Dishcloth or felt quadrant.
Take a tea towel or felt quadrant and put a cup of coffee in the center, then place a color of tiles in each corner. With the stick of a lollipop, some sticks of skewers or something similar, click on the side of the card and the frog will jump until it enters the cup, the first one to strain all its tokens wins.
