Rustic wooden clock

Reloj rústico madera

This morning I was placing the firewood in the living room and I found a log which gave me an idea to make a nice rustic clock , in this way I could recycle the machinery that I had saved from another clock. Well, said and done, I got down to work and look at how cool it is.

Used materials:

Reloj

Hold the trunk well; I looked for a place where I embedded it so that it would not move. I cut two slices with the electric saw. The logs being so dry have cracks and can be split and in this way you can choose the best cut for your watch .
Another option is to approach a friendly carpentry that for little money will make the cuts you need.

With the chisel, hammer and sander you remove all the imperfections of your watch .

In this video I show you the steps to follow so that you can create this different and beautiful rustic clock , you will see how easy it is to do it.

We make a division with a square and make a hole with a drill in the center.

Paint the numbers with a pen or marker, you can also print them, cut them out and stick them on your watch.

With the foam roller, apply the filler to the entire surface and let it dry.

Give the entire surface a coat of varnish. I have used a spray varnish, but you can use any other that is colorless.

When it has dried, put the clockwork on it by inserting the asparagus of the hands through the hole you made previously, then put the hands on by pressing gently, first the hour, then the minute hand and finally the second hand.

You already have your rustic clock to hang it or put it on any shelf.
