Tricks to iron clothes with almost no wrinkles

Ironing clothes, what a punishment . In addition to the fact that we are in spring and the days are longer, the good weather begins, the terraces in the bars, on the weekends we want to go out more and have a bite to eat so we don’t have dinner at home. All of the above is the prelude to summer, it gets dark much later and we want to be more on the street and meet more often with friends or go to enjoy a weekend in a charming place .
How beautiful and idyllic everything is, but suddenly the nightmare of the iron comes to mind (mine too). How I hate her! Those clothes with the marks of the tweezers, their wrinkles, the heat that they give off and how tired it is, if it happens to you like me that you try or want to iron as little as possible I give you some tips to iron the clothes in the shortest possible time, I hope you like them.

Clothes washing and drying programs:

Apart from washing following the instructions on the labels , if we do it with a cold water program, the clothes will wrinkle less than if we wash them with hot water.
Use the softener with the aroma and brand that you like the most, since it has a “special power” so that the clothes wrinkle less, making ironing cost as little as possible and thus take less time with this task. If you like the products you make, you can make your own fabric softener .
What is also forbidden to do so that our garments do not wrinkle so much is to fill the washing machine (my daughter Cris understands that a lot, who almost always pushes her with her foot to get more, hahaha), since in this way They have more space inside the washing machine drum and will wrinkle less.
If you have a dryer, the best thing is that as the washing time ends, start the drying time and put it on the drying cycle so that no more wrinkles are marked. Those of us who are not so lucky, we will have to spread it as soon as possible since this way the wrinkles will also be less marked.

Spin:

Spinning in the washing machine is one of the programs that saves us the most drying time with our garments. We have to be careful with which one we choose because if the washing machine is very full and we choose the one with the highest revolutions, we run the risk that it will come out more wrinkled and it will cost us a lot to iron it.

Hang clothes well, prevents wrinkles:

When we hang our clothes, we have to do it thinking about the way in which the clothes will less wrinkle. If we do it by stretching the garments, with this the small gesture, we will achieve that when ironing the clothes, it becomes a great gesture to unfold and smooth the bags that are made and that later remain as a very difficult mark to remove .

Brands of clothespins when hanging clothes:

This is a war that I have lost with part of my family, they say that I am very heavy when it comes to laying (they put them where they fall first); but that’s why I’m very maniac. T-shirts are from the part where the sleeves begin, the skirts from the waist like the pants, in short, from where the marks of the tweezers are least noticeable or where it is easier for us to remove the marks they leave on the clothes.

Hang as many clothes as possible on hangers:

To make it less complicated for you to iron shirts, blouses, sweaters, beach camisoles, etc., all you have to do is hang them on hangers to dry when they are finished. The wardrobe will have fewer wrinkles and it will be easier for us to iron them because they will be more stretched thanks to their weight and gravity.
If some wrinkles are still marked, we can easily remove them by moistening them with a spray and then ironing them.
I have a trick, which I imagine that almost all of you use when we have to wash the curtains at home, which are large, they weigh a lot and to iron them is a real madness. What I do is that I put an extra fabric softener on them, I spin them with less revolutions than normal clothes and finally I put them back in their place, I wash them at night and leave them completely closed until the next morning to stop. then they will already be dry.

The art of folding after ironing clothes:

After ironing clothes, folding them correctly is an art so that nothing wrinkles, what I do after getting the “beating” of ironing the family’s T-shirts, polo shirts and others, I have a very easy method and it is the next:
The collar of the shirt, t-shirts, polo shirts, etc., I place it near the termination peak of the ironing board, I go first folding one side and carefully the other side (the sleeves I also make a small fold) and finally the length of the garment I fold it twice (I put the finish at the beginning of the sleeves and fold it again) we turn it over and we have it ready to put away; I do not advise you to pile up the clothes that are folded since it will be much more difficult for us to take the garment that we want to wear.

Store clothes in the iron basket:

Many times due to the rhythm of life we lead, it is almost impossible for us to iron them as we pick them up from the clothesline. Keep the folded clothes and stretch them as much as you can, so that the wrinkles that remain marked in them are the minimum possible and that it is much easier for us to iron them.
Another trick that I use a lot is to place the garments that weigh more, such as jeans, sweatshirts, etc., first and least on top, in this way the garments that weigh less will not be compressed.

Iron clothes with wrinkles:

When I iron the family clothes, I am a maniac, I admit it. I always start with what is most difficult for me to iron such as pants, dresses, jackets and if there is any other garment that is made of linen or cotton, my daughter Bea loves T-shirts and sweatshirts (which of course are 100% cotton); I continue for shirts, blouses and skirts and finally the smallest things and those that cost me less to iron.
With my philips ironing center I can select the steam level, but if the clothes still have some wrinkles, we can easily erase them by moistening them using a spray with warm water and ironing them as indicated before.

Tricks for ironing:

Some of my friends to remove wrinkles from the cuffs and collars of shirts and blouses have a hair straightener, if you read correctly, and they swear to me that they remove them in a pee-pas. You can try it and tell me how you have done with this system.
My mother, again her and her inventions, when she took off the bottom of our pants and the mark remained, what she did was moisten a cloth (worth a piece of old sheet) with water and vinegar. It was magical! All the marks on the pants were erased; I have used it from time to time to iron a linen jacket, skirt and pants and it has worked for me.
If you are traveling, resort to the old and well-known trick of hanging blouses, shirts, etc. on hangers inside the bathroom when you shower. Let them dry like this until there is no more steam.
If you have to iron tablecloths, duvet covers, etc., fold them in half to iron them as it is easier. Then fold them again on the side that you have ironed and so on, folding until you finish ironing them completely.
Also, as I have pointed out previously, you can use twice as much fabric softener as you normally use for garments that wrinkle a lot, this way you will also find ironing more comfortable and faster.
