As per the schedule of the Social Security Administration, the first of the two payments for SSI Income that recipients will receive in March will arrive in six days.  Individual recipients will receive the first payment on March 1, which amounts to $914. They will also get the same amount in the second payment on March 31, totaling $1,828 for the month of March.

Usually, the SSA issues one SSI payment per month. However, if the first day of a month falls on a holiday or weekend, recipients will receive two payments in the preceding month. Although this means that they will not receive a payment in the following month, it ensures that they will receive 12 payments per year.

This year, double payments will also be made in June, September, and December since the first day of July, October, and January falls on a weekend or federal holiday. In March, eligible couples will receive two payments of $1,371 each, while essential persons who live with and provide care to SSI recipients will receive two payments of $458 each.
