When can I anticipate receiving my Kemp tax refund?
On March 10, Governor Kemp signed the Amended Fiscal Year 2023 budget, which allocates $1 billion in surplus funds to be distributed among taxpayers. Governor Kemp stated, “While some in Washington D.C. are calling for tax increases, we’re returning money to hardworking Georgians.” According to Georgia’s official Department of Revenue website, most of the special income tax refunds will be issued by July 1 for those who filed on or before April 18.
And as they aim to expand government, we’re fostering opportunity. Last year, we returned over a billion dollars to our state’s taxpayers, and I’m proud we’re doing it once more. I’d like to thank those in the General Assembly who backed this measure to assist Georgia families grappling with 40-year high inflation.
