We all have got one or two incredible deals in the Black Friday shopping spree, the date on which companies in the United States – and all around the world – take the opportunity to get rid of the stuck inventory, and to turn their accounting numbers from red to black (hence its name).
Sometimes, a number on the price tag may seem very attractive, but also the fine print may bring hidden things, especially the really, minuscule one at the end of the invoice. Those hidden things might benefit you at malls like the one we’re talking about today, Costco.
Cut the line and save money, at the same time
The lawyer and personal finance expert, Erika Kullberg, told her 9 million TikTok follower a secret that may not make much sense at first, but it will do when explained. And here it goes: Buy an item online before the date of Black Friday, which is Friday, November 25th. Does that sound absurd? Yes, I know, but the following is going to make sense.
According to Kullberg, Costco’s fine print says that if you buy an item through their website, and it goes on sale in the next 30 days, you still have the right to get the lowest price of that promo. You just have to go to the retailer’s website and fill out this quick online form. Once you send it, the store should issue a credit in your favor for the price difference.
However, not all products are eligible for this price adequacy, and that’s also in the fine print, as the expert warns in her video that has been watched by hundreds of thousands of people. Therefore, before filling out the form, make sure that the product qualifies for this company policy.
One thing to check first
In any case, it is worth the try, since it can give you a pleasant surprise to enjoy the Costco deals without having to navigate and survive among the crowds that usually flood Black Friday every year. This year, you won’t have to camp outside the store, and that’s already a win!
In summary, it’s recommended to ask at your local Costco if the product you want to purchase qualifies for this kind of price review.
Now, while we are looking forward to that crazy shopping day (I’lve already set my alarm clock), we all have to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, and I already made for you my list of things that you can find at Costco to enchant your family and friends. (Check out if your local Costco will open for Thanksgiving!).
Black Friday deals you shouldn’t miss
According to BlackFriday.com, Costco’s Holiday Savings event begins on Halloween day: and is split into two stages: the first one from October, 31, thru November, 13, and will feature special sales and offers. The second one is from November, 14 to 28, with traditional deals and much more.
You should save a couple bucks for the Cyber Monday, the day after Black Friday. Costco always keep some products. Trust me, you’ll find one or two worthy deals.
