From shelves to spotlight: These are the best kept secrets from Costco and you don’t wanna miss them

This is the ultimate list of the fan-favorite products from Costco: Vegan, Kosher, gluten-free, and packed with nutritious values.

costco Kirkland Signature Best Kept Secrets

You know I’m a Costco fan. For me, it is not only a supermarket, it is also a kind of shopping Disneyland where I find everything, from food to electronics, at incredible prices. My whole house is decorated with its furniture and if you shout “OK, Google”, the Google Home Mini answers I bought it (wait for it) at Costco.

Of course, among tens of thousands of products in Costco, it is difficult to find those items that are really “worth it”, because there are many that are not, and we have already written about it. Also, there is the fact that not all products are available in all stores in the United States.

The best 5 Costco items to shop in The United States

To help you get the most out of your Costco membership, we’ve set ourselves the task of finding these five fantastic items that are also bestsellers this month. Run, Forrest, before the membership prices go up, because there are rumors that this may happen next year.

Kirkland Signature Cherry and Cheese Pastry

This is a new product from Kirkland Signature, that beautiful brand that gives us everything we need to survive a zombie apocalypse. While they come packaged and survive long enough, you can also freeze them to maintain their texture and flavor. Then you put them in the air fryer for a few minutes, and it’s like the Costco baker lives next to you and leaves them at your window. A box of six costs $9.99, but I’m not sure that they sell them at every location of the chain, but I found them in a couple stores in California.

Vita Coco Coconut Water

Vita Coco Coconut Water

I think recommending the Vita Coco Coconut Water is a bit absurd, because, in my imagination, every household in the United States should drink coconut water: we would all be happier, especially if it is combined with a ukulele!

It is a refreshing shot of electrolytes and magnesium, a nutrient that our body does not produce, so why don’t you provide it with a delicious and tropical glass of coconut water, while listening to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole? (Google it, you totally know what song he’s known for). In the store, a pack of 18 units (11.1 ounces in total) is worth $22.99, but if you buy online you will receive a discount of $5.50.

E&C’s Heavenly Hunks Organic Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookies

Once again, I suggest a gluten-free and vegan product, two characteristics that converge because my mother-in-law – who lives at home for long periods – is celiac, and my partner is vegetarian.

The problem with this dessert is that it is so delicious that it will not last even two days in your house: everyone will love them. DM me when that happens. You’ll see I’m right. At $9.99 a bag, it’s more expensive than a slightly larger box of cookies, but my nephews say it’s worth it, and they know about cookies.

Kirkland Butter Toffee Cashews Costco

Cashews are one of my favorite nuts. In those famous mix of seeds and nuts, I always eat the cashews first, doesn’t the same thing happen to you? And it all turned into a love affair when I tried Kirkland Butter Toffee Cashews, which can be dangerous because they are highly addictive. The 24 Oz. pack’s price is $10.49, and it is full of flavor and nutrition. One serving has 21% of the daily required protein, and only have 3% of the daily sodium.

They are not discreet, because the bag makes noise, so I have caught my girlfriend stealing them at midnight (I’m the cashews police! Freeze!) The 24-ounce bag retails for $8.49 and is available at virtually every Costco location in the U.S.

Wallaby Organic Yogurt

Yogurt is always in my fridge, and when I found the Wallaby Organic brand, I immediately went crazy for it. Normally, i purchase enough to last about two weeks, but I fail to calculate the industrial amounts my family requires. (They’re like yogurt termites, and the Wallaby yogurts disappear in less than a week). If Greek or Icelandic yogurt is not your thing, maybe you’d like the Australian version of this brand that represents one of the most emblematic animals and will transport you to the land of surf, sun, and wallabies!

It has a wide range of varieties, and comes in flavors such as vanilla, strawberry, or flat. It has USDA organic certification, is gluten-free (also certified) and also suitable for kosher diets. It is sold in individual strawberry and vanilla packs, with 12 units for only $13.79. And the best of all: when it comes to nutritional values, it’s low fat and low cholesterol, while a cup provides 2% of dietary fiber and 22% of the required daily protein.

Does Costco offer any dairy-free yogurt options?

Costco carries Forager Probiotic yogurt, which is almond-based and comes in a 12-pack with blueberry/strawberry flavors. Additionally, godairyfree.org provides a list of the best dairy-free yogurt brands on the market, which includes several plant-based and carrageenan-free options. These brands can be found in many grocery stores, including Costco, and offer a variety of flavors and types of yogurt, such as coconut, almond, cashew, soy, and oat.

Gluten-free and vegan options at Costco

At Costco, you have access a wide variety of gluten-free products, with products such as breads, pastas, granola, protein bars, and much more. You will find, for example, Franz sliced bread with seven grains. It’s great for making sandwiches or toast, and it’s so well formulated that you don’t realize it’s gluten-free. It’s fluffy, versatile, and delicious.

As for pasta, there is an immense variety of gluten-free pasta. You are going to find the organic Manitou rice noodles, the Edamame Spaghetti, or the Rice Ramen (this just hit the stores). The Go Go Quinoa Organic Macaroni Pasta is another nutrition option. Not sure if this one will stay al dente, but you gotta give it a try: maybe they’ll surprise you.

The best of both vegan and gluten-free world converge in the Quinn peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets, the ultimate savory snack. They’re filled with creamy, delicious peanut butter, the perfect treat for a craving moment. They’re also non-GMO, corn, soy, and dairy free, and all created with real, natural ingredients.

The Bobo’s PB&Js oat sandwich bars are something to try, and for sure you haven’t had anything like this before. They’re like cookies, because of the shape, but the flavor is intense and the texture is crunchy. In a box sold by Costco, you’ll find 10 treats filled with strawberry, and other 10 filled with grape marmalade. Non-GMO, kosher, vegan, gluten-free and soy-free: What else do you need for a nutritious, safe snack?
