If you’re a fan of Costco, get ready for some exciting news! The warehouse giant is set to open 24 new stores in 2023, bringing even more convenience to shoppers across the United States. No matter where you live, there’s a good chance there will be a new Costco store opening up nearby, making it even easier for you to stock up on all your favorite bulk items and household essentials.
With the added convenience of these new locations, you can save time and money on your shopping trips, and enjoy all the great deals and discounts that Costco is known for. Until July 2022, the Seattle-based retailer chain had 847 stores in the US, but that number will change next year, to bring their products closer to the 120.9 million cardholders. You will have more places to get the most out of your membership.
The new 24 Costco stores to open in 2023
Costco will not reach its expected sales and earnings estimates, but it still won’t stop thinking big and aims to continue growing. The membership retailer plans to open 24 new stores inthe fiscal year 2023, including 15 within the United States. The chain’s nine international openings include its third and fourth clubs in China.
In addition to these plans, it is thinking to relocate three existing stores into even larger warehouses, to make it easier for customers to have more variety of its products. Recently, it has added locations in New Zealand, South Korea and Sweden, where U.S. and Canadian cardholders can also shop with their cards.
Costco currently operates 847 warehouses, including 583 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 31 in Japan, 29 in the United Kingdom, 18 in Korea, 14 in Taiwan, 14 in Australia, four in Spain, two in France and China, and one in Iceland, New Zealand and Sweden each. Costco also operates e-commerce sites in the U.S. USA., Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia. The locations for the new stores to be opening in the US in 2023 haven’t been revealed, but that will happen soon, and we will let you know as soon as we get to know.
