Trader Joe’s rare and particular products are captivating. Its variety of amazing things always attracts me, as if we are opposite poles of two magnets. In addition, its affordable prices and it’s always smiling and friendly staff have turned TJ’s into a cult supermarket, not only for Americans but also for foreign tourists that follow the brand from abroad.
As confirmed on its own website, Trader Joe’s will expand its portfolio of locations with new stores scheduled to open from coast to coast. Currently, the franchise has 530 stores across the United States and, for now, there are no plans to expand abroad. Not even Canada or Mexico, despite that’s a strategy that have followed by other companies like Costco or Walmart, which have expanded to hundreds of countries.
Welcome to Utah, Maryland Trader Joe’s!
In the Mid-Atlantic, the chain Trader Joe’s will open its tenth location in College Park, Maryland, which will be its first store in Prince George’s County. It will be located at 4429 Calvert Road, and will open its doors on October 27 at 8 a.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony some treats for the first customers.
The building will have 11,000 square feet of floor space, and will be located next to the beautiful campus of the University of Maryland. It will be decorated with murals of the university buildings, the football stadium, and the College Park airport. They have already hired more than 100 employees, but local media said that more hires are still being carried out.
Heading west, residents of Draper, Utah, will welcome you to the state’s fourth store. It will be located at 11497 State Street, open its doors in early 2023. “We are pleased to announce that Draper has been selected as a new location for Trader Joe’s (…) The store is expected to open in early 2023. More details will be shared soon”, Draper’s Mayor Troy K. Walker said.
Even further west, Trader Joe’s confirmed at the end of August that it is opening its tenth location in Oregon at 16200 SW Pacific Highway, in the city of Tigard. The opening date was not announced yet.
The fourth and final store announced will be in Providence, Rhode Island, whose front door will be at 425 South Main Street. Currently, the Ocean State only has one TJ’s store located in Warwick.
The most recent store had opened on July 14 in Yorktown, New York and everybody in town love their signature products like Mandarin Orange Chicken and Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, as well as everyday basics like milk, eggs, meat, bakery items, and fresh produce.
