“I can’t wait to get my hands on some of their frozen Mandarin Orange Chicken. It’s a staple in my freezer!,” said Mariah, a happy costumer when the Dunedin store opened: she lives two blocks away. “Finally, I won’t have to drive 30 minutes to get my favorite groceries. Trader Joe’s has the best!,” said Anthony to a local newpaper when the Seminole TJ’s first turned on its lights.
What is the Neighborhood Shares program in Trader Joe´s
The Neighborhood Shares Program is Trader Joe’s initiative to reduce food waste and support communities in need. Through this program, Trader Joe’s donates unsold but still consumable products to local food recovery organizations, food banks, and food pantries. The program is run seven days a week, and each of the 350 Trader Joe’s stores has a Donation Coordinator who works with local organizations to promote donations every day of the year.
