Over the years, Target has made some decisions that were questioned not only by its investors, but mostly by its customers. One of the most peculiar, and that generated memes and laughs from the buyers, was a garments line that reminded the clothing of The Little House on the Prairie. Thousands of people bought the strange pieces and took pictures of themselves simulating scenes from the old TV series. After everyone laughed, the company could not move the inventory, and they were stuck in stores. A terrible managerial and design decision to place these clothes in their stores.

That Target spends its life renovating and changing its aisles and its products is not something new. Recently, it has introduced thousands of new products and also removed many that would not be moving easily from its shelves. One of the most popular brands that were removed left customers stunned, and many are complaining on social media about it.

Popular Brand Removed From Target Shelves and People Are Really Mad About It

It’s never easy to say goodbye to an old friend. For years, Target has delighted its customers with its in-store or private brands, and none more so than the Archer Farms line of groceries. But now, after more than 25 years, the iconic brand is being phased out, leaving a void in the hearts of its many fans.

Archer Farms was more than just a store brand. It was a promise of quality and value that Target made to its customers. From bread and milk to cereal, cookies, and ice cream, Archer Farms offered an unbeatable combination of private label quality at store brand prices. It was a brand that consumers trusted, and it quickly became a top seller in every aisle of the store.

But all good things must come to an end, and Target has decided that the time has come to bid farewell to Archer Farms. The brand will be replaced by Target’s new store brand, Good and Gather, which has been slowly taking over Archer Farms’ shelves since its introduction in 2019. While Good and Gather promises to be just as good, if not better, than Archer Farms, some customers can’t help but feel a twinge of sadness at the loss of an old favorite.

A New Private Target Brand on the Way, to Replace Archer Farms

For many loyal customers, Archer Farms was more than just a brand of groceries. It was a part of their lives, a reliable staple in their pantries, and a symbol of the trust they had in Target. So when the news broke that Archer Farms was being discontinued, it came as a shock to many. One customer even took to social media to express their disappointment at the loss of their favorite frozen pizza.

But not everything is bad news: the retailer chain just announced that both Archer Farm and Simply Balanced (another brand to be removed forever from the shelves) will be replaced by a totally new brand: Good & Gather. It’s still to be seen how this new products will work in the stores, because costumers are already protesting about the products they did love. Such as their Buffalo wing potato chips, coconut lime cashews, and chocolate overload ice cream. They will never come back.
