How right my dear Audrey was; Deep down, we don’t need that much to be happy. Our home offers us shelter, the stove heat and a good chair the rest we need.
In my case, I must be fair and give the chairs all the honor that many times we do not offer them and the importance and care they deserve. Being more than once in the homes of friends and family, I have seen how their chairs are in the farthest part of the room, with the seat dirty with stains, the back full of dust, the legs all scratched … For me they are an accessory fundamental and totally necessary within a home.
I love eating in a solid, high chair; have coffee chatting with a friend sitting in one of the modern chairs for the dining room that I have or reading in the room in my classic chair, with arms and burgundy leather. Our homes without chairs would not be the same.

What kind of chairs are there? Where do I put them?
Like all furniture and accessories that exist in the wide world of decoration, you will find a multitude of types and models of chairs. I am going to show you the most common and in which rooms and rooms we can locate them.
Chairs for the dining room.
They are usually the ones that we use the most throughout the house since it is where the family usually eats, for this reason they must be comfortable chairs both on the seat and on the back, breathable, that are wedged on the legs and that they never carry arms. Keep in mind that the model you choose has to be harmonious with the rest of the dining room. The number of chairs must not exceed 6 people.
Chairs for bedrooms.
The chairs for these rooms are used above all at the desk, for reading or as an aid when it comes to dressing. With respect to the desktops, or also called study, they have to be ergonomic, that they weigh little, we can opt for the arms for a better rest of these, they have wheels and their style is usually modern. The reading ones, their main characteristic is comfort, over the style or model that we choose, they are usually accompanied by a small pouf for the feet. Wide seat and high backrest are advisable so that both the back and our head can rest. Finally, the chairs that we use to dress are mainly used to put on shoes and socks or stockings, so they must be low from the seat.
Chairs for the kitchen.
In a kitchen, chairs can have many uses and functions, so the first thing we have to know is what we want them for. If we have a small kitchen in which we do not carry out a domestic life, the most logical thing is to have a folding chair, there are even with small steps, which we will use to reach the highest furniture and places in the kitchen. If we are lucky enough to have a spacious kitchen in which we have an office, an island or a small bar, we can opt for dining-style chairs to eat or high chairs for breakfast, have a cup of coffee or tea, both in the island as in the bar.
Chairs for the bathroom.
The type of chairs that we will use for the bathroom are very similar to those used as a dressing aid, since they will have the same function before and after the bath or shower. When choosing our model we will have to take into account that the bathroom is a room where humidity reigns.
Chairs for the terrace.
They must be very resistant since they will be found outdoors and will suffer all kinds of inclement weather, the most advisable are those made of plastic, wood or methacrylate. Here you can fearlessly free your imagination when choosing shapes and colors as they will always match the style of your terrace.
Depending on the room in which we want to place our chairs, this should be the style of the chairs we choose. The variety is very wide, from the most classic to the most modern, using all kinds of fabrics , wicker, leather, chairs with a metal frame, not forgetting wood and even glass or methacrylate. You will also find accessories for chairs on the market, such as arms or headrests, ideal for offices; or multifunctional such as the folding ones so that our back gets an ideal rest, being able to vary its height to rest the hips and legs.
Remember that chairs have been decoration elements that have had great importance in history, they have elegantly furnished and decorated from humble houses to real palaces. Chairs have existed anywhere in the world and at any time in history and true queens have sat on them. And you will not be less, of course!
