Well, it turns out that winter has arrived and it has caught me totally off guard. Yesterday, during the newscast, they commented that tonight was going to be especially cold and that temperatures would drop to an uncomfortable 4 degrees below zero. “It will not be so bad. It sure isn’t that cold, ”I thought as I was listening.
I continued my day with total normality and night came and with it the irritating 4º degrees below zero, these temperatures have hit us with total harshness and without any compassion. The freezing cold surprised me already in bed; I have to admit that it has been one of the worst nights of my life. I have never moved so much in bed looking for some kind of warmth that at no time of the night I have found.
I have been lucky and the night came to an end, managing to survive a weather ordeal that I do not wish on anyone. I assure you that such a night will not be repeated in my life. Do you know the first thing I did this morning? I have taken out my duvet and I have hugged him with great nostalgia, bursting into tears with an indescribable tenderness: few times I have needed something so strongly. With all my love, I have put him in my bed, begging him not to leave me during this hellish winter. I even think he has come to smile at me!
