In this state, the calculation for the payment date is different: it is distributed <strong>according to the last two digits of the SNAP case number<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>60 to 69<\/strong> group is still waiting to receive their payments, and they will have the funds on their EBT cards on Thursday, <strong>August 17<\/strong>. Then it&#8217;s time for the happy payday to those of the group <strong>70 to 79<\/strong>, who will be hit on Saturday, August 19.\u00a0The last two groups are those from <strong>80 to 89<\/strong>, to whom the transfer will arrive on August 21, and those from 90 to 99 who will have the money available on <strong>August 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that both in <strong>Georgia<\/strong> and in the rest of the states of the <strong>United States<\/strong>, it is illegal to exchange food stamps for cash, or to buy prohibited items such as tobacco, alcohol, or prescription drugs. From that month onwards, people aged 18 to 50 without children must be subject to the work requirements. Since <strong>October,<\/strong> the age range has been extended to 52 years, and from <strong>October 2024<\/strong>, it will be extended to 54 years old.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But, what is actually \u201cwork\u201d for this new rule? There are several options that beneficiaries could comply to:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work an average of <strong>20 hours per week<\/strong>, or a total of 80 hours per month.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in any education or training for an average of <strong>20 hours per week<\/strong>, totalizing 80 hours per month.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in <strong>\u201cworkfare,\u201d<\/strong> like volunteering at a nonprofit agency.
