One of the worst enemies of home cleaning is dust. It is one of the worst nightmares for many who try to keep their house cleaning at bay. Although it is not easy, it is not impossible to reduce dust in the home to clean less.
You already know that one of the keys to cleanliness is to clean lightly. However, this idea seems to fall apart with dust as it sometimes reproduces itself in mysterious ways. However, it is not such a mystery, and there are some things you can do to clean less dust in your home.
You don’t have to clean it if it doesn’t get in
Although it may seem silly, one of the most common ways when dust enters the house is from the outside. Dust is not generated spontaneously. In fact, the vast majority of dust comes directly from outside.
The first action is to try to prevent it from entering our house; for this purpose, insulation is fundamental. The insulation of windows and doors is important. It is also important to try not to keep windows and doors open when there is a large excess of air, as this can carry a lot of dust.
Of course, other factors also play a role. If you live in a dry and dusty place, the chances of entry of the annoying dust are higher than if you live in a cool area with fresh grass around you.
Use elements that allow avoiding external dust
Apart from the windows, doors, or cracks of the house, on many occasions, dust comes dragged by the own house inhabitants. Using elements such as doormats can be a good idea to eliminate at least a good part of the dust we bring with our shoes. One complementary idea is to take off your shoes when entering the house. That action, incorporated in many cultures, is not done by chance since shoes are the part of the clothing that comes into direct contact with the floor and, to a greater extent, with dirt and dust.
Using anti-dust devices?
Over decades we have known about a multitude of devices on the market that promises to prevent or minimize dust at home. The truth is that, in general, these devices have had limited success.
Although they can help, prevention measures and a good cleaning performed regularly are the best allies to avoid dust in the house.
On the other hand, they are usually expensive devices. It is better to consider implementing preventive measures and combining these steps with good cleaning elements, vacuum cleaners, cleaning robots, etc.
