Trader Joe’s is one of the most beloved grocery stores of all time, and I assure you that it is even a tourist attraction for both Americans and foreigners. Their exclusive products, the wonderful management they make of their marketing and graphic design. Also, because, despite the fact that their products are of the highest quality, their prices are still affordable.
Most Trader Joe’s locations are near the East Coast, but the state with the most stores in the chain is California (its birthplace), with 192 of the 560 there were until November, or 34% of the total. The company has recently stated that it wants to reach the whole country, and for this it has opened several stores in 2022 and plans to do the same in 2023.
The campaign to bring a new Trader Joe’s to Alabama
The residents of the city of Mobile, Alabama, dream with having a TJ’s in town. Currently, there are only locations in Birmingham -250 miles (402 km) from Mobile-, and in Huntsville, -350 miles (563 km), neither is close. And that’s why cult fans of the chain and its wonderful products are putting pressure on the city authorities to pursue the installation of a store.
“We’re not recruiting for any locations,” said Jason Johnson, a spokesman for the city of Mobile, however. “We are not even in contact with Trader Joe’s. We have just heard from citizens who want Trader Joe’s to search for a location on mobile.”
The City of Mobile, via Facebook, started up a “Bring Trader Joe’s to Mobile” to make the company hear them. The new page on the city’s official Facebook page has sparked praise from commenters, clamoring for a Trader Joe’s store in Mobile.
The residents hope the company will take notice of their demands, and bring them the joy to buy in one of their stores without having to drive hundreds of miles.
Trader Joe’s is coming to new cities
On October 28, 2022, he opened a TJ’s store in Tigar, Oregon, located at 16200 SW Pacific Hwy (CP 97224), and on November 3 he gave the opportunity to the people of Providence, Rhode Island. These are the most recent, but other store openings that have already occurred before, throughout 2022, in locations in Yorktown (NY); the downtown Miami area, (FL); Parker (CO); Santa Monica (CA); Camp Hill, (PA); downtown Bethesda, (MD); Eagan, (MN); and Mentor, (OH).
In 2023 he will land in Glastonbury, Connecticut, but the exact date has not yet been announced. The other new store will be in Draper, Utah, but the opening month has also not been said by the company.
Now, where will these new supermarkets be located? We don’t know that yet either, because the company hasn’t communicated it, so we’ll have to wait patiently to be able to enjoy the new locations of the beloved American chain.
