As we have already talked about in other articles, Costco has a way of indicating to its customers that certain items are going to stop being produced or sold on the shelves of their locations. This is the so-called “death star”, which you can read about in this article. This is done because, every year, retailers have to decide which items will continue to be sold next year and which ones will no longer be available.

There are several reasons why a supermarket like Costco might discontinue a product. One common reason is that the product is not selling well and is not profitable for the company to continue having it available. The supermarket may also discontinue a product if it is being replaced by a newer or more popular product, or if the supplier of the product is no longer able to provide it.

The products Costco will remove from its shelves

If you are a Costco fan like me, take a look at this list to find out if one of your favorites products is being discontinued or removed.

Log Cabin Original Syrup

This syrup for pancakes and waffles has a history dating back to 1887, when the Log Cabin brand was founded. Since then, it has the same recipe that is one of the favorites of the Americans. Costco currently sells it in packs of two 64-ounce jugs. Try to stock up while supplies last at Costco’s insanely discounted price of just $7.49 each.

Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats

It may sound hard to believe that cereals that have withstood the passage of time such as Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats are going to no longer be available on the shelves of every Costco in the United States. You will no longer be able to buy the 70 ounce boxes in their stores, in which you will find two bags of cereal, currently at a discount of $8.99, an incredible offer.

Schwartz Brothers Organic Everything Bagel Chips

All those beautiful features are in the delicious Schwartz Brothers Organic Everything Bagel Chips, made with healthy and simple ingredients, produced in small batches: wheat, water, oil, yeast, garlic, seeds, herbs and spices. If you buy them regularly, hurry up to stock up on these bagel chips that Costco sells for $9.99, and that it is going to stop selling in its stores.

Kohana Organic Coffee Cold Brew Concentrate

This Hawaiian-inspired organic cold-brew is one of the most interesting preparations for a cold brew coffee: it is ideal to drink at any time of the day, in winter or summer. Possibly, you’re going to stop seeing it at Costco since 2023, possibly because Kirkland Signature is having success with its own version of cold brew coffee.

Kirkland Signature Strawberry Margarita Made With Gold Tequila

The end of the year holidays, in the Northern Hemisphere, are in the middle of the snow, and in the Southern Hemisphere they are rather summery. In either climate, a margarita is always a good drink to prepare for your family and friends. Costco’s in-house brand, Kirkland Signature, is selling its version of strawberry margarita made with Gold Tequila that will unfortunately no longer be available at Costco locations in 2023. Costco is phasing out 1.5-liter bottles, which retail for less than $10.
